Net profit of Asian Star Company rose 39.04% to Rs 8.69 crore in the quarter ended March 2008 as against Rs 6.25 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2007. Sales rose 19.58% to Rs 407.59 crore in the quarter ended March 2008 as against Rs 340.85 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2007.

For the full year, net profit rose 46.50% to Rs 40.36 crore in the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 27.55 crore during the previous year ended March 2007. Sales rose 12.16% to Rs 1305.11 crore in the year ended March 2008 as against Rs 1163.61 crore during the previous year ended March 2007.
