HPCL leads gainers in 'A' group Strides Arcolab, Financial Technologies (India), Wockhardt and Indian Oil Corporation are among the other gainers.
State-run oil marketing company HPCL galloped 6.36% to Rs 320.45. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. Shares of three public sector oil marketing companies extended Monday's gains on report the government will raise prices of diesel and cooking gas shortly. On Monday, 18 June 2012, shares of HPCL rose 0.52% to Rs 301.30. Pharmaceutical company Strides Arcolab jumped 5.42% to Rs 758.20. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 767 in intraday today, 19 June 2012. Financial software maker Financial Technologies (India) climbed 4.46% to Rs 668.50. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. Pharmaceutical company Wockhardt rose 3.83% to Rs 872.30. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. State-run oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) rose 3.46% to Rs 249.80. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On Monday, 18 June 2012, shares of IOC rose 0.63% to Rs 241.45.
