Andhra Sugars tastes sweet after stellar Q2 numbers Andhra Sugars jumped 12.89% to Rs 122.65 at 10:32 IST on BSE after net profit jumped 436.9% to Rs 29.21 crore on 82.3% growth in net sales to Rs 195.51 crore in Q2 September 2011 over Q2 September 2010.
The company announced the results on Saturday, 29 October 2011. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 96.22 points, or 0.54% to 17,708.58. On BSE, 87,009 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 4,766 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 130 and a low of Rs 111.50 so far during the day. Andhra Pradesh based Andhra Sugars makes sugar. The company has operations at Tanuku, Kovvur, Guntur, Taduvai, Saggonda and Bhimadole in the state.
